Like Grandbrothers

On Saturday 28 February, the student keyplayers of PXC-Music had the opportunity to experience the build-up, soundcheck and concerts of Grandbrothers and Evan Gildersleeve at CCHA Hasselt up close. Grandbrothers is the project of Turkish-German pianist Erol Sarp and Swiss synth wizard Lukas Vogel, who combine classical piano playing with electronic triggering of the piano strings to create hypnotic soundscapes with elements of minimalism, ambient and techno. The students prepared a few questions, had an extensive talk with both Grandbrothers and received a signed album.
